Terms of Use
Article 1 (Scope)
These Terms set out the conditions for using pazutto (“the App”), an iOS app provided by Tatsuro Moriyama (“the Developer”). By downloading or using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Because the App is distributed through the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If these Terms conflict with that agreement, that agreement prevails.
Article 2 (License)
The Developer grants you a non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the App in accordance with these Terms. The App is licensed, not sold.
Article 3 (Prohibited conduct)
When using the App, you must not:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App
- Redistribute, sell, lend or publicly transmit the App or any part of it (including puzzle data, images, music, sound effects and text)
- Alter ratings or progress by illegitimate means, or circumvent restrictions on paid features
- Act in violation of laws or public order and morals
- Engage in any conduct equivalent to the above
You are free to share screenshots or recordings of gameplay in personal social media posts, streams, blog articles and the like (excluding reposting or distributing the puzzle data itself as a collection).
Article 4 (Intellectual property)
All intellectual property rights in the App’s program, puzzle data, design, images, music, sound effects and other content belong to the Developer. All puzzle data is generated by a puzzle generator created by the Developer.
Article 5 (Plans and in-app purchase)
The App offers two plans:
- Trial Plan (free): Levels 0 and 1 of every puzzle type, plus the three daily challenges each day, with no limit on the number of puzzles. Other puzzles are available up to 15 puzzles in total.
- Full Plan (one-time purchase): Unlimited access to every puzzle type and level, including puzzle types added in future versions.
The Full Plan is a one-time, non-consumable purchase, not a subscription (it does not renew automatically). It supports Family Sharing.
The price shown on the App Store purchase screen is authoritative. The Developer may change the price and the content included in the plans. Such changes apply only going forward, and Full Plan rights purchased before a change will not be lost.
Purchases and refunds follow Apple’s (App Store’s) rules. Refunds are decided by Apple, and the Developer has no authority to process them. To request a refund, please contact Apple. If a refund is granted or a purchase is revoked, the Full Plan rights are lost.
When changing devices or reinstalling, you can restore the Full Plan via “Restore Purchases” using the same Apple ID used for the purchase. It cannot be restored with a different Apple ID.
Article 6 (Data storage and backup)
Play progress, ratings and settings are stored only on your device (see the Privacy Policy). The Developer cannot recover data lost through deleting the App, resetting the device, or device failure or loss. Because the Full Plan purchase is tied to your Apple ID, the plan itself can still be restored via “Restore Purchases” even if progress is lost.
Article 7 (Disclaimer)
- The App is provided as is. The Developer does not warrant that the App is fit for any particular purpose or free of defects.
- The Developer is not liable for any damage arising from your use of the App, except where such exemption is not permitted by law.
- If the Developer is found liable for damages, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App.
Article 8 (Changes, suspension and termination)
The Developer may change the content of the App, or suspend or end its provision, without prior notice.
Article 9 (Changes to these Terms)
The Developer may change these Terms. Revised Terms take effect when posted on this page.
Article 10 (Governing law and jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Japanese court having jurisdiction over the Developer’s location.
