Privacy Policy
This policy explains how pazutto (“the App”) handles user information.
Summary
The App does not collect any personal information. All play records and settings are stored only on your device and are never sent to the developer or any third party. The App contains no third-party SDKs for advertising or analytics (usage analytics or behavioral tracking).
1. Developer
- Developer: Tatsuro Moriyama
- Location: Toyohashi, Aichi, Japan
- Contact: t4traw@gmail.com
2. Information we do not collect
The App does not collect, transmit or store:
- Personally identifiable information such as name, email address, phone number or address
- Location data
- On-device data such as contacts, photos, calendars, microphone or camera
- The advertising identifier (IDFA) or any identifier used for tracking
- Analytics data sent to the developer about how you use the App
The App never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt because it does no tracking at all.
3. Information stored on your device
To let you pick up where you left off, the App stores the following only on your device (in the App’s sandbox):
- Puzzle progress (boards in progress, hints used, etc.)
- Play history (puzzle type, level, result and date)
- Per-puzzle and overall ratings
- Settings (music and sound effects, selected track, etc.)
- Whether the Full Plan has been purchased (a single true/false value)
- The numbers of puzzles played within the free trial allowance (identifiers of puzzles bundled with the App; no personal information)
This data is stored with standard iOS features (SwiftData and UserDefaults) and is never transmitted. It is not synced via iCloud or any other service. Deleting the App deletes this data from your device, and it cannot be restored afterwards.
There is one exception: the number of trial puzzles played (a single number) is also stored in the iOS Keychain. This prevents the trial allowance from resetting every time the App is reinstalled; Keychain items may remain on the device after the App is deleted. It is only a single number, contains no personal information and never leaves your device. Once you purchase the Full Plan, it is no longer referenced.
4. Game Center
The App uses Apple’s Game Center.
- If you are signed in to Game Center, the App reads your avatar and nickname (alias) to display them in your in-app profile. They are used only for display and are never stored, transmitted or shared by the developer.
- The App does not use score submission, leaderboards, friend lists or achievements.
- Signing in is optional. If you are not signed in or authentication fails, no features are restricted (ratings and progress are calculated and stored on your device either way).
- Game Center is a service provided by Apple, and Apple’s Privacy Policy applies to information handled by Game Center.
5. Network communication
All puzzle data, music and sound effects are bundled with the App, so playing requires no network connection (it works in Airplane Mode). Network communication occurs only in the cases below, all of which go to Apple’s servers through Apple frameworks (StoreKit / GameKit). The developer operates no servers and no other destinations.
- Displaying the Full Plan price, purchasing it, and restoring purchases (StoreKit)
- Signing in to Game Center and loading your avatar and nickname (GameKit)
6. Advertising and third-party analytics
The App contains no third-party SDKs for ad networks, usage analytics or crash reporting.
7. Information the developer receives via the App Store
Through App Store Connect, Apple may provide aggregated sales and download figures and, if you have chosen to share them with Apple, usage statistics and crash reports. All of this is aggregated and anonymized by Apple and contains no personally identifiable information. You can change what you share under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements in iOS.
8. In-app purchase
The App offers one in-app purchase, a one-time “Full Plan” (not a subscription).
- Payments are processed by Apple (App Store). Payment details such as credit card numbers, billing information and your Apple ID are never shared with the developer.
- The only purchase-related data the App stores on your device is a single true/false value indicating whether you own the Full Plan. Nothing that identifies the purchaser is stored.
- Purchases are verified on-device by Apple’s StoreKit. No purchase information is sent to a developer server (there is no developer server).
- When you tap “Restore Purchases,” your Apple ID is authenticated and the App Store is queried. This is handled by Apple, and your Apple ID and password are never shared with the developer.
- Offer codes (redemption codes for friends and testers) are redeemed on the App Store. The developer only receives aggregated figures, such as the number of redemptions, from Apple through App Store Connect.
For how payment information is handled, see Apple’s Privacy Policy. For plan details and pricing, see the App’s page and the Terms of Use.
9. Children’s privacy
The App can be used by people of all ages. Because it collects no personal information, it does not collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Disclosure to third parties
Because no personal information is collected, there is nothing to share with third parties. Even in the case of a legal request for disclosure, the developer holds no user information.
11. Contact
For questions about this policy or the App’s privacy, contact t4traw@gmail.com. See also the Support page.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, for example as features are added, the updated version will be posted on this page. Significant changes will also be announced in the App’s release notes.
This English version is provided for convenience. If there is any discrepancy, the Japanese version prevails.
